Following its return to the airport last year with flights to Nice, Ibiza, and Florence, British Airways is launching a new service to Bergerac, France, in June. Nestled in the picturesque southwest of the country, Bergerac is famed for its sprawling vineyards and stunning countryside.

A brand-new airline for Stansted, Transavia, will debut with a route to Rotterdam in April. This major port city in the south of the Netherlands is celebrated for its innovative architecture, rich cultural scene and lively atmosphere.

Building on its success with new services last summer, Turkish carrier SunExpress will introduce a route to Kayseri, Turkey, in July. Known as the gateway to the breathtaking Cappadocia region, Kayseri is a historic city renowned for its ancient architecture and vibrant bazaars. This new service further strengthens Stansted’s position as the UK’s top airport for flights to Turkey.

Stansted’s second-largest carrier, Jet2, will launch flights to Pula, Croatia, and Bergen, Norway, in May. The airline will also offer holiday packages to the scenic Greek islands of Poros, Aegina, and Leros, all accessible via Athens, giving travellers even more ways to explore the Mediterranean.

Ryanair, Stansted’s largest airline with over 150 destinations, is resuming flights to Lübeck, Germany, starting this summer. This historic port city in northern Germany is renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture, charming canals, and world-famous marzipan.

Ryanair will also launch new routes to Münster, Germany starting in April, and Clermont-Ferrand in France starting in March. The return of Clermont marks the revival of this charming French destination at Stansted, last served in 2019.

Simon Gorrighan, London Stansted’s Aviation Director, said: “We’re really excited about these new routes. They’re all about giving our passengers even more choice for their travels.

“Whether it’s unwinding in the vineyards of Bergerac, soaking up the buzz of Rotterdam’s cultural scene, or exploring the stunning landscapes of Cappadocia, there’s truly something for everyone.

“London Stansted serves more European destinations than any other UK airport, and these new services will further strengthen our route network, which now covers almost 200 destinations across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.”
