Quadram Institute appoints first Entrepreneur in Residence

The Quadram Institute has appointed Dr Linda Bradley as its first-ever Entrepreneur in Residence.

The new role is designed to help Quadram Institute Bioscience researchers develop and accelerate commercialisation opportunities emerging from the institute’s research. Dr Bradley will provide mentorship, guidance, and industry insights to help scientists transform their research into viable business ventures or partnerships.

Dr Bradley has previously been Head of Business Development at LifeArc and before that was part of GSK’s Worldwide Business Development team, with more than 25 years’ experience of evaluating and negotiating transactions in the pharmaceutical industry.

She said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to this exciting new role at the Quadram Institute and look forward to using my skills and experience to help foster entrepreneurship in the talented science community.”

The Quadram Institute’s Head of Business Development, Dr Roberto Zanchi, added: “Linda has a great track record of leading business development teams and a wealth of experience that I’m sure will benefit our scientists looking to take their research into commercial partnerships or spin-outs.”

Based on the Norwich Research Park, the Quadram Institute is a partnership between Quadram Institute Bioscience, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the University of East Anglia and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).

Quadram’s mission is to deliver healthier lives through innovation in gut health, microbiology and food and its vision is to understand how food and microbes interact to promote health and prevent disease.
