The charity has committed to a five-year lease of 3,990 sq ft of ground floor space in the Iconix 1 building and joins a collaborative community of health and science companies at the venue.

The new space, which includes a kitchenette, breakout area, meeting room, and high-quality offices with an abundance of natural light, will serve as a day centre supporting disabled people.

A dedicated outdoor area will also be made available for the Trust’s use following planned landscaping works, ensuring an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Katherine Friend, Director – Investment and Asset Management, Howard Group, said: “We are thrilled to provide Papworth Trust with an affordable, perfectly sized, and well-located new home at Unity Campus.

“As a charity dedicated to supporting disabled people to live independent and fulfilling lives, their work is invaluable to the community.”

Gail Williams, Service Manager, Papworth Trust, added: “Papworth Trust is excited to be moving our South Cambridgeshire Day Opportunities service into Unity Campus in Sawston.

“We were looking for somewhere that could offer us long-term stability, is spacious both inside and out, and offered good links to the wider local community – and Unity Campus achieves this perfectly.

“From this location we’ll be able to support our disabled customers to increase their independence, deliver skills-based activities within the community as well as exploring volunteering and work opportunities. We can’t wait to get started.”

With the addition of Papworth Trust, the only remaining available space in Iconix 1 is a 3,559 sq ft ground floor suite.
