New Deputy Vice Chancellor at Anglia Ruskin University
Professor Omoteso replaces Professor Aletta Norval, who has retired from the position after joining ARU in 2018.
Professor Omoteso joins ARU from the University of Derby, where he was Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the College of Business, Law and Social Sciences for six years. His leadership in fostering an inclusive culture led to the acquisition of significant charter-marks, improved EDI statistics, and enhanced satisfaction among students and staff in the areas of inclusion and belonging.
His academic career began in 2001 at Lagos State University, Nigeria, following six years of professional experience in accounting and auditing roles in both the public and private sectors.
Between 2003 and 2013, he held various academic positions at De Montfort University, Leicester, including Principal Lecturer and Director of Postgraduate Programmes in Accounting. Additionally, he served on the Council of the Chartered Association of Business Schools from 2019 to 2024.
