New commercial ace chips into Pragmatic’s global growth push

Cambridge’s Pragmatic Semiconductor has named chip industry star turn James Davey to lead the company’s commercial efforts as senior VP of Sales, Business Development & Product Management.

The 24-year industry ‘veteran’ succeeds Alastair Hanlon who will continue to support the business in an advisory role.

Most recently Davey was Vice President, EMEA at eInfochips, Arrow Electronics' global design services business. In this role he was responsible for leading commercial sales of semiconductor and hardware design services, supporting a diverse range of customers across vertical end-markets.

Before that he held several global commercial leadership positions at Arrow where he successfully drove revenue growth, market expansion and strategic partnerships. Previous experience includes leadership roles at Cadence Design Systems, and Microchip Technology.
