With over two decades of experience working in family law, Twitchen specialises in dividing assets on divorce, as well as child arrangements, prenuptial agreements and injunctions.

He has been an accredited Collaborative Lawyer since 2006 and his pragmatic approach is based on guiding clients to an early amicable outcome where possible, minimising the costs and stresses of the legal process.

He is an accredited mentor for Resolution, a national organisation of family lawyers and other professionals committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes, providing support for the next generation of advisers.

Howes Percival's Family Law team provides a fully integrated and comprehensive service for high-net-worth individuals and family businesses. The team works closely with other legal experts within the firm who advise on the wider aspects of relationships and family matters, including those relating to property, estates, wills, probate, trusts and pensions.

Partner and Head of Family Law at Howes Percival, Justine Flack sad: "I am delighted to welcome Ben to Howes Percival. He brings extensive experience, particularly with high-net-worth clients and actively promotes non court dispute resolution.

"He has also previously grown a team and been head of department, with a good track record in developing juniors. The firm's strategy is to focus on our local markets and ensure that we can look after all our clients' needs.

"We believe there is a real opportunity to grow our family law offering in Cambridge and East Anglia, and I think Ben and Chris will make a formidable team given their combined experience. We can offer the expertise and service demanded by the London market but at regional rates, whilst also being easily accessible for clients. We receive a high level of enquiries because of the firm's reputation, and we now have the team in Cambridge to look after them locally.

"The focus for Ben will be on high-net-worth clients and non-court dispute resolution. The court system is in crisis at the moment and under huge strain. That, and the shift to no fault divorce since April 2022 has meant that more and more clients are looking to non-confrontational approaches and out of court solutions. Ben is collaboratively qualified and actively promotes this approach, so he is in a strong position to help grow the firm's offering in East Anglia.”
