The London-based Intellectual Property team of US firm Armstrong Teasdale has moved to Greenwoods this month after the American firm decided to close its London office.

Nine members from the Ince Private Client & Tax team joined Greenwoods almost a year to the day in September 2023.

Armstrong Teasdale IP team head, Jim Boff said: “Following Armstrong Teasdale’s withdrawal from the UK, it is great to be joining Greenwoods. We have been impressed that their client-focused approach to law aligns with our approach of providing commercially appropriate IP advice and services.”

Robert Dillarstone, Greenwoods’ Managing Partner, added: “This team brings an outstanding reputation, exceptional technical skills and extensive experience. We are incredibly pleased to welcome them to Greenwoods.”

Respected legal media reported recently that dozens of legal staff were made redundant by Armstrong Teasdale. Greenwoods moved fast to snap up the IP specialists. For clarity, Greenwoods stressed that it was not a successor practice to Armstrong Teasdale Ltd or any part of it.
