A licensed insolvency practitioner, chartered accountant, and mediator, accredited by the UK’s Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR), McKay has more than 30 years’ experience helping businesses and stakeholders to protect value in the face of insolvency and financial distress.

He will work closely with partner Richard Bloomfield to expand the firm’s restructuring presence in East Anglia, particularly giving a stronger foothold in Cambridge and surrounding areas.

FRP has also welcomed Ryan White as an administrator. The duo’s arrival continues the rapid growth of the East Anglia restructuring team which has grown to six. They join more than 800 colleagues across more than 30 offices in FRP’s national network.

McKay said: “FRP has a fantastic reputation locally and nationally for not just the outcomes it achieves but the quality of its service. It’s exciting to be joining the team at a period of both regional and national growth for the business.”

Richard Bloomfield added: “Chris is one of East Anglia’s most respected insolvency practitioners and brings vast experience to the team. This, coupled with his pragmatic and empathetic approach, will make him a central part of the team as we further expand our footprint in the region.

“He brings with him an existing referral base, built over 30 years, that we look forward to supporting and growing as part of FRP.”

The latest hires follow a year of continued expansion for FRP, which has seen the business acquire five specialist firms.
