Almost eight years were spent focused on both graphene and technology R&D and patent development, before the business was acquired, commercialised and renamed Levidian in late 2020.

Levidian’s LOOP system captures the carbon from methane to produce hydrogen and has a unique net cost advantage over other hydrogen production technologies due to graphene, a valuable by-product that can be used to boost the performance of batteries, superconductors, solar cells, and electronics.

The company was named Sustainability Champion at the Business Weekly Awards in September 2024, and has recently clinched two deals in the Middle East. It has formed alliance with Kanoo Energy to jointly explore and execute projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman, and announced a partnership with Khalifa University of Science and Technology’s Research & Innovation Center for Graphene and 2D Materials (RIC2D).
