Darktrace
The Darktrace ActiveAI Security Platform™ adopts a proactive resilience approach by continuously learning from a company’s data and updating and applying its knowledge to safeguard against attacks, such as ransomware, cloud, and SaaS attacks.
Within seconds of detecting a known or unknown threat, the platform can autonomously respond in real-time to protect an organisation’s entire digital ecosystem, from cloud and apps to email, network and operational technology (OT).
Employing over 2,300 people worldwide, Darktrace has two research centres in Cambridge, UK, and The Hague, Netherlands, which pioneer the firm’s groundbreaking technology innovations with over 175 patent applications filed to date.
The company was acquired by US giant Thoma Bravo in May 2024 and has since seen CEO Poppy Gustafsson ship out and become a government investment minister. Thoma Bravo has pledged to keep Darktrace’s R & D brains in Cambridge.
