The company secured a £multi-million seed fund with subsequent Series A and B investments. CGD has a facility in Taiwan and is scaling in China, where it plans to open a lab this year after identifying Asia as a major launchpad to a rocketing $50 billion power chip market.

Labs in the United States and Europe could also follow in 2024 as demand for Cambridge GaN’s power devices for greener electronics takes flight.
