The deal adds to a growing list of credentials in the sector for Oaklins Evelyn Partners, which has previously advised on transactions such as the sale of both Goddard Veterinary Group and Rossdales to VetPartners.

Oaklins Evelyn Partners, which was appointed by the proprietors of Reed Veterinary Surgery to identify a buyer for the business, negotiated and advised on all financial and commercial aspects of the deal and was supported by a team from local law firm HCR Hewitsons, led by James Lawrence and Joe Greenstock.

Reed Veterinary Surgery, established and owned by Rosemary and Harry Hobson, is a well-invested practice which has been supporting pets in the Royston area for nearly 20 years.

It has exceptional capabilities and is operated by a team that focuses on delivering the highest quality service and pet care.

Tom Gallop, who led the deal from Oaklins Evelyn Partners, said: “We are delighted to have worked with Rosemary and Harry in finding the right buyer for their business and the deal highlights, again, our unrivalled expertise in the veterinary sector.”

Gallop worked on the deal with his Oaklins Evelyn Partners colleague Chris Pell.

Rosemary Hobson commented: “We are incredibly thankful for all that Tom and Chris at Oaklins Evelyn Partners have done to get this deal over the line.

“It has been a process not without its challenges, but they have been unwavering in their commitment to get the best result for us and have provided first rate guidance and reassurance from start to finish. We know this deal wouldn’t have been secured without Oaklins Evelyn Partners advice and we highly recommend the team to anyone who is considering selling their business.”
