Altos’ community of leading scientists, clinicians, and leaders from academia and industry work together to identify and develop medicines that improve lives using multi-scale generative machine learning models to demystify the complex mechanisms of cell and organ health.

Backed by tech tycoon Jeff Bezos and featuring a board and advisory team of Nobel Laureates and scientific titans, Altos launched at the end of January 2022 with $3-billion in funding.

Altos has three scientific institutes, including San Francisco Bay Area and San Diego in California, US, and Granta Park in Cambridge. The company also has significant collaborations in Japan. Dr. Wolf Reik is the Director of the Altos Cambridge Institute of Science.
