Law firm Mills & Reeve is basking in the glory of a sensational set of rankings in the new Chambers and Partners legal guide.The national practice, with major operations in Cambridge and Norwich, was placed in the top five firms - in terms of numbers of top tier rankings - of all the ranked practices in Chambers UK 2012.
Almost 60 per cent of its 45 rankings were in the top tier, Business Weekly can reveal.
Chambers and Partners’ UK Guide lists solicitors in over 70 specialist areas of law. It approached Business Weekly to publicise this year’s findings and a special feature appears in our end-October edition.
Ashton KCJ, Birketts, Eversheds, Greenwoods, Hewitsons, Howes Percival and Taylor Vinters also earn stellar ratings from Chambers across a broad range of legal disciplines and have clearly forged an elite in the region’s law advice pantheon.
The construction industry in East Anglia clearly benefits from phenomenal advice: Eversheds and Mills & Reeve hit Band 1 with Birketts not far behind in Band 2 and Greenwoods and Hewitsons in Band 3.
Mills & Reeve take the Corporate/M&A work plaudits as stand-alone Band 1 leader. Birketts hold down a Band 2 rating; Ashton KCJ, Eversheds and Taylor Vinters a Band 3 berth.

The Agricultural & Rural Affairs rankings put Birketts on a par with Mills & Reeve, pursued by Hewitsons, Taylor Vinters, Ashton KCJ and Howes Percival.
